Crisis Response Team Member

We are hiring Crisis Response Team Members for our new LinkPointe program! 

Job Summary: Serve as a member of the CenterPointe Crisis Response Team providing support to individuals in our 24 hour facility for individuals accused of Driving Under the Influence, or other alcohol and drug-related crimes. Coordinate with Lincoln Police Department to admit and/or triage to other appropriate service locations. Oversee health and safety of the environment and individuals. Offer resources and access to individuals seeking services related to mental health, substance use, or primary care services. Participate as an active member of the Crisis Response Team.

Essential Functions:

  1. Regularly attend scheduled overnight, weekend, or day shifts. No more than 8 unplanned absences per year (KPI).
  2. Conduct intakes with individuals, which will include taking vitals, and monitor for withdrawal symptoms.
  3. Answer the Crisis Response Hotline during scheduled shift.
  4. Complete, process, and maintain all required paperwork in a timely manner, including but not limited to intake documents, shift notes, crisis phone contacts, follow-up contacts, and outreach contacts. Crisis calls to be documented within 24 hours of call.
  5. Act as liaison and consult with community agencies and families to maintain coordination in the treatment process. Participate in one outreach activity per month (KPI).
  6. Respond to internal and external individuals in crisis and make appropriate interventions.
  7. Provide on call crisis intervention on a rotating schedule, including evening, weekend, and holiday hours as scheduled.
  8. Complete other duties as assigned by Senior Director of Community Response

  4. Maintain compliance with agency trainings/certifications (CPR/First Aid, Counseling on Access to Lethal Means, Live Worth Living Pathway, NEO) (KPI)
  5. Maintain timely completion and compliance with Relias Learning coursework (KPI)
  6. Attend 8 All Staff Meetings annually (KPI)
  7. Maintain compliance with licensure by acquiring appropriate CEU's (KPI)
  8. Participate in assigned committee(s); regularly attends committee meetings.

Required Skills:

  1. Effective listening. Excellent written and verbal communication KPI).
  2. Promptness and flexibility. No more than 5 minutes late for start of shift (KPI).
  3. Demonstrated knowledge of substance and mental health issues.

Educational/Experience Requirements:

  1. 2 or more years of education in the Behavioral Health Field. Bachelor's Degree Social Work, Psychology or related field preferred.
  2. Experience responding to crisis situations
  3. Experience working with persons from diverse backgrounds.
  4. May consider individuals with lived experience and 2 or more years of experience working in the Behavioral Health Field.

Licensing or other requirements:

  1. Valid driver's license. Clean DMV record.
  2. Must be at least 21 years of age.
